What is The Curated Pumpkin?The Curated Pumpkin is a concierge pumpkin delivery, design, and disposal company serving both residential and commercial locations in SoCal's LA & OC areas. We make it easy for you to bring the spirit of fall to your home or business. You can choose from one of our curated packages or request a custom design, and we'll take care of the rest—from delivery to creating a beautiful, festive display right on your doorstep. When the season comes to an end, we offer a convenient pick-up service in November to remove the pumpkins. But it doesn’t stop there—our pumpkins are donated to local farms for eco-friendly disposal, where they provide much-needed food for animals. Whether you need creative help to showcase your pumpkins for the holidays or simply don’t have the time or energy to pick and haul them yourself, we’re here to help!

How does the ordering process work?Ordering is simple: choose a package, place your order online, and we’ll deliver and design your pumpkin display. Here’s how it works step by step: Browse and Choose Your Package: Start by exploring our selection of curated pumpkin packages, or opt for a custom design tailored to your specific needs. Each package is designed to fit different homes front entrance sizes and styles. Place Your Order: Once you’ve selected your package, place your order through our website. During the ordering process, you’ll be asked to provide details such as the size of your front entrance and a photo which helps us plan the display. If you’re not sure which package is best for your entry way, feel free to contact us, we’re here to help you make the perfect choice. Order Confirmation: After placing your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details of your purchase. This email will also include the estimated delivery date. Delivery and Design: On the scheduled delivery date, we’ll bring your pumpkins right to your door. If you’ve chosen to include our design service, our skilled designers will arrive the same day to create a beautiful pumpkin display on your doorstep. End of Season Pick-Up: If you opted for our pick-up service, we’ll contact you in November to schedule a convenient time for removing your pumpkins. The pumpkins will then be donated to local farms for eco-friendly disposal. Throughout the process, we aim to make it as seamless and convenient as possible, ensuring your homes front entrance is ready for the fall season with minimal effort on your part.

How will I know when you will be delivering my order?You’ll receive an email the week before with your exact delivery day. Pumpkins will be delivered during the week you selected at checkout. The week prior to your chosen delivery week, you will receive an email with your specific delivery day.

When should I expect my pumpkins to be removed?Your pumpkins will be picked up during the week you selected at checkout. The week prior to your chosen pickup week, you will receive an email with your specific pickup day. The pumpkins will be donated to local farms and animal sanctuaries. Lots of animals, like pigs, chickens and goats, benefit from the nutrition that pumpkins provide and they make great compost as well!

Will my pumpkins last all season? How can I care for them?Pumpkins can last several weeks, but care is important to keep your display fresh. We deliver fresh, farm-grown California pumpkins, so each one is unique. While we strive to provide the highest quality, we can't guarantee the lifespan of your pumpkins and are unable to replace any that may start to rot. To maintain a healthy display, we recommend regularly checking for any signs of decay and promptly removing any rotten pumpkins to prevent them from affecting the rest. Additionally, keeping water from pooling on your pumpkins is crucial - consider placing water-wicking burlap under your display to help protect them.

What happens to the pumpkins at the end of the season?If you choose the add-on for pick up at the end of the season, we donate your pumpkins to local farms through our Pumpkins for Pigs partnership. Did you know that throwing your Jack-O-Lantern in the trash can harm the planet? When pumpkins end up in landfills, they break down without oxygen, which causes them to release methane - a greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change. Every year, 3 billion tons of pumpkins are tossed in the trash, adding to landfill waste and increasing methane emissions. We want to do our part to be eco-friendly, so we’ve teamed up with a foundation called Pumpkins for Pigs. They work with local farmers who are happy to take our pumpkins, hay, and ornamental corn. This eco-friendly solution ensures that nothing goes to waste and that the animals receive nutritious food. If you choose our end-of-season pick-up service, we’ll collect the pumpkins from your display along with any carved ones you have. Just remember, we can’t take painted pumpkins, and please make sure to remove any candles or other decorations before we come by.

How much does pumpkin delivery cost?Delivery costs depend on your location. Delivery is free within 10 miles of the South Bay area, $50 for 11–30 miles, and $75 for 31–50 miles. If you’re farther than 50 miles, contact us for a custom quote.

When is the best time to order pumpkins?We recommend placing your order early in the fall season to secure your preferred delivery week. Availability can be limited during peak weeks, so ordering in advance ensures the best selection and scheduling.

What happens if I’m not home during delivery?No problem! We can set up your display while you’re away, as long as we have clear instructions. If needed, you can send us a photo of your space so our designers know exactly where to arrange your pumpkins.

Can I keep my pumpkins after the season instead of pickup?Absolutely. Pickup is an add-on service, not a requirement. If you’d like to keep your pumpkins, you can enjoy them for as long as they last — but we encourage eco-friendly disposal when the season ends.
